However, hypnosis is a genuine therapeutic tool, one that can be used successfully as a treatment for several conditions. 

Hypnotherapy works by combining therapy with hypnosis. It empowers people to change by updating their subconscious beliefs. Through Hypnotherapy, we can re-frame and update old beliefs that are no longer serving you and replace them with new, more helpful ones.

We learn a lot as kids. Our childhood experiences help to shape who we are and how we interact with the world. But sometimes we have experiences that can create negative subconscious beliefs. Beliefs that could be holding us back. Hypnotherapy can resolve inner conflicts so you can live your best life.

Anxiety and Trauma

Hypnotherapy can be a very effective way to work through unconscious factors related to a known traumatic event. Hypnotherapy is also extremely useful when the events or factors lay hidden in our unconscious memory. Even though we may not be aware of them, they can still affect us and create anxiety or cause phobias. Once revealed, these factors can be addressed, and healing can begin.

Performance Enhancement

Many of us have heard the term “being in the zone.” In sports, this is a natural state of trance in which everything seems to slow down and the game comes easily.
Mental focus, concentration and visualization are all critical to the success of any endeavour. Hypnosis can be used to increase the confidence, consistency and ability of an athlete or a student.

Twyla is a Registered Nurse and International Hypnosis Association Certified Hypnotherapist. Her professional and personal experience with trauma, while working in both Canada and the USA, motivated her to become a Hypnotherapist so she could help others overcome their trauma and anxiety.

A consultation is good for anyone who is curious about Hypnotherapy and is wondering if it would be a good fit for them. If you are looking for more information, I am happy to meet, or arrange a call with you.


Note: A consult is required prior to starting therapy so that we can discuss the hypnotic process, determine your goals, and answer any questions you may have.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a trance-like state of focus and concentration. This state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one's own thoughts.


While in hypnosis, your attention naturally turns inward. Here you can be guided to find and utilize the natural resources deep within yourself to make changes, or to regain control of certain areas of your life.

A hypnosis session is not guaranteed at every Hypnotherapy appointment. It may become necessary to spend the time to discuss new developments that have arisen during your treatment.
